The SCPDCA UAP is an open-shop program supporting the Southern California area for over 38 Years. The program proudly trains apprentices over a three year period to graduate as journeyman working in the field. This program helps painters and contractors succeed in the painting industry.

Training & Curriculum

  • Three years classroom with 6000 on the job training hours
  • Journeyman Graduation includes certificates from Federal, State, Cerritos College and SCPDCA UAP
  • Approved for Southern California prevailing wage work

Curriculum includes:

  • Twelve Modules/20 Saturdays per year
  • CPR and First Aid
  • Hands on painting project
  • Safety Fair
